HCDBM is looking for Certified Forklift Drivers who are available to serve in our warehouse moving product as needed for various projects, inventory, and bulk orders. We are looking for those to serve between the hours of 9am to 3pm, Monday - Friday. We are flexible on timeframe but most shifts would be 2 or 3 hours. Please bring copy of proof of forklift certification. Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing as our warehouse is not temparature controlled. 

HCDBM is looking for Certified Forklift Drivers to help unload Operation Blessing Trucks the 1st & 3rd Monday of the month.  Operation Blessing trucks need to be unloaded, the product weighed in, and then placed in HCDBM warehouse inventory.  Volunteers need proof of forklift certification and must be able to lift 50lbs.  Closed toed shoes are mandatory to work in the warehouse.

We are looking for welcoming and friendly people who love to serve for this volunteer position.  The Care Box volunteer will help prepare the Care Box, load it in the car, and pray with the client if needed.  Be the hands and feet of Christ by helping our clients in their time of immediate need. This volunteer position works in the warehouse and requires lifting and bending. Training is provided. 

HCDBM is grateful for all of the clothing donations we receive! Volunteers are needed daily to sort and organize clothing. Every item is checked to make sure it is not stained, torn, or ripped. Items are organized and presented nicely for our clients. We are looking for volunteers who have attention to detail and are good at sorting clothing sizes.  Volunteers must be able to stand and work for at least an hour.

If you are filling this out for your child, please fill out the first page with their information. You will then be prompted to enter your email to receive a waiver. Please enter the adult's email. After entering your email, fill out the rest of the form with the adult's information. 

All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes in our warehouse. The warehouse is not temperature controlled so please wear comfortable clothing. We also recommend a hat and sunscreen in case you are working outside. Water and snacks are provided.

We are grateful to receive donations weekly from Walmart. We need volunteers who can come in a sort and categorize what we receive. Volunteers will work by separating bread from desserts and stacking them on appropriate trays for example. Training is provided. 

Where: HCDBM Warehouse

Help us keep our warehouse in order by helping with sweeping, cleaning, cardboard breakdown, mopping, trash disposal, put back shopping carts, and floor cleaning. In order to best serve our clients, we want to make sure we keep our warehouse in the best shape possible. Training and safety procedures will be conducted by HCDBM staff member.

This program allows local non-profits to request food and product from HCDBM and items are provided them free of charge from our warehouse. The community partners will fill out a request and you will pull it from our warehouse. Certified Forklift Drivers will need to show proof of certification.  Closed toed shoes are mandatory to work in warehouse. Must be able to lift 50lbs.  

HCDBM is looking for Certified Forklift Drivers to help unload trucks from the San Antonio Food Bank.  Volunteers would be helping with unloading of much needed product for our families. Once unloaded, product needs to be weighed in and placing in HCDBM warehouse inventory. Requirements: Certified Forklift Drivers will need proof of certification. Able to lift 50lbs.  Closed toed shoes are mandatory for working in warehouse.

HCDBM needing help with sorting of fruit and vegetable produce for our families.  Most food banks only do canned goods, rice, beans and pasta but at HCDBM we do all that plus fruits, vegetables and meat.  So to give our families the best quality fruits and vegetables we must hand sort them.   

It's a produce party! Help sort and categorize produce. 

What the Produce Team does: Multiple times a week, we receive produce donations from local stores. Produce volunteers sort through the produce checking for quality and freshness. Produce is sorted and packed into equal bags for each client. This team arrives around 9 to begin work and finishes when all produce is sorted through. 

Come break it down! Most of our donations from stores arrive in cardboard boxes. This is volunteer will help to break down the cardboard. We strive to be good stewards of the environment and this volunteer will greatly help and support our recycling effort.

Providing clothing to our clients helps them fight the cycle of poverty. We receive excess clothing weekly from Plato's Closet. Volunteers are needed to pick up what they donate and bring it to our warehouse. You can use your own vehicle or one of our trucks. We will provide all necessary training.

You will be in the hands and feet of Christ by distributing food to our clients and praying with them. Volunteers are asked to load cars and replenish shopping carts with food as cars come through our parking lot. 

All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes in our warehouse. The warehouse is not temperature controlled so please wear comfortable clothing. Carebox Distribution involves working inside and outside the warehouse so we recommend a hat and sunscreen or coat and gloves when weather is cold. We ask that volunteers be able to lift 20 lbs. Water and snacks are provided.

HCDBM is blessed to own multiple vehicles and it is crucial to our ministry to keep them up and running. Fleet Maintenance involves checking oil, checking tire pressure, fueling up, and general upkeep of the vehicles, This job can be done individually or with a small group. We are flexible with the day and time, please let us know in the comments when you would like to come in and we will be in touch. Work will be done outside so we recommend a hat and sunscreen. Closed-toe shoes are required in our warehouse. Snacks and water are provided. 

We are blessed to have a beautiful building to provide service to the communityinity. We need help maintaining it with new HVAC filters. We are looking for a volunteer who can come in quarterly and change all filters.   We are looking for someone who can climb ladder and change filters throughout the ministry.  As always, we want to be good steward of our property and want to make sure we do our best to keep routine maintenance up to par.  Proper training and safely briefing will be done by HCDBM staff before volunteer can start work.
