HCDBM is looking for Certified Forklift Drivers who are available to serve in our warehouse moving product as needed for various projects, inventory, and bulk orders. We are looking for those to serve between the hours of 9am to 3pm, Monday - Friday. We are flexible on timeframe but most shifts would be 2 or 3 hours. Please bring copy of proof of forklift certification. Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing as our warehouse is not temparature controlled. 

HCDBM is looking for volunteers who like to work in the yard and be outside. If this is you, we have a place for you! We are looking for those who enjoy mowing, weed eating, pulling weeds, and planting.  Safety training  will be provided by a HCDBM staff on all equipment being used. You can pick your hours to serve, anytime from Monday - Friday 8:00-3:00pm.  If Saturday is better for you please give us a call to arrange time and project.  Please bring gloves and closed toed shoes are mandatory. Be sure to bring hat and sunscreen.  Water and snacks will be provided.  

HCDBM is looking for Certified Forklift Drivers to help unload Operation Blessing Trucks the 1st & 3rd Monday of the month.  Operation Blessing trucks need to be unloaded, the product weighed in, and then placed in HCDBM warehouse inventory.  Volunteers need proof of forklift certification and must be able to lift 50lbs.  Closed toed shoes are mandatory to work in the warehouse.

We are looking for welcoming and friendly people who love to serve for this volunteer position.  The Care Box volunteer will help prepare the Care Box, load it in the car, and pray with the client if needed.  Be the hands and feet of Christ by helping our clients in their time of immediate need. This volunteer position works in the warehouse and requires lifting and bending. Training is provided. 

HCDBM is grateful for all of the clothing donations we receive! Volunteers are needed daily to sort and organize clothing. Every item is checked to make sure it is not stained, torn, or ripped. Items are organized and presented nicely for our clients. We are looking for volunteers who have attention to detail and are good at sorting clothing sizes.  Volunteers must be able to stand and work for at least an hour. 

We need help in our warehouse sorting food, bagging food, sorting clothing, and getting distribution boxes ready for pick up. Please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing as our warehouse is not tempature controlled. We also ask that you bring a hat and sunscreen in case you are working outside. Snacks and a break room are provided.

We are a very busy ministry and are in need of those who like to do data entry.  We will train you on the systems we are needing the data entry entered.  We are looking for those who have attention to detail. 

Enjoy working in a cool environment we have the perfect place for you.  We are needing help to sort product in our warehouse cooler/freezer.  Must be able to tolerate cold temperatures.   Need to quality check products and sort product as needed.  

Front Desk volunteers are needed to be one of the first faces of the ministry. Front desk volunteers will answer phones, direct calls, welcome volunteer groups, greet clients and provide the necessary paperwork, and complete date entry as needed.  Our office is a busy with clients, volunteers, donors, and partners frequenting our office and we are looking for capable and pleasant folks to help. Training is provided.  

We are grateful to receive donations weekly from Walmart. We need volunteers who can come in a sort and categorize what we receive. Volunteers will work by separating bread from desserts and stacking them on appropriate trays for example. Training is provided.

This program allows local non-profits to request food and product from HCDBM and items are provided them free of charge from our warehouse. The community partners will fill out a request and you will pull it from our warehouse. Certified Forklift Drivers will need to show proof of certification.  Closed toed shoes are mandatory to work in warehouse. Must be able to lift 50lbs.

This team will help make sure that we are shining our brightest.  They make sure our clients, donors and volunteers have orderly and clean common areas.   All supplies will be provided.

Once unloaded, product needs to be weighed in and placing in HCDBM warehouse inventory. Requirements: Certified Forklift Drivers will need proof of certification. HCDBM needing help with sorting of fruit and vegetable produce for our families.  Most food banks only do canned goods, rice, beans and pasta but at HCDBM we do all that plus fruits, vegetables and meat.  So to give our families the best quality fruits and vegetables we must hand sort them.   

It's a produce party! Help sort and categorize produce. 

What the Produce Team does: Multiple times a week, we receive produce donations from local stores. Produce volunteers sort through the produce checking for quality and freshness. Produce is sorted and packed into equal bags for each client. This team arrives around 9 to begin work and finishes when all produce is sorted through.

Come break it down! Most of our donations from stores arrive in cardboard boxes. This is volunteer will help to break down the cardboard. We strive to be good stewards of the environment and this volunteer will greatly help and support our recycling effort.

HCDBM welcomes CHS Life Skills Class to help our mission. Volunteers will be working in the warehouse so must wear closed-toe shoes. 

Providing clothing to our clients helps them fight the cycle of poverty. We receive excess clothing weekly from Plato's Closet. Volunteers are needed to pick up what they donate and bring it to our warehouse. You can use your own vehicle or one of our trucks. We will provide all necessary training.

HCDBM welcomes Eagles Flight to serve those in the Texas Hill Country who are in poverty and crisis.  Volunteers will be sorting food, bagging food, sorting clothing, or preparing orders. Our mission is to help alleviate poverty in the Texas Hill Country and we couldn't do it without volunteers like you. 

HCDBM welcomes Spanish National Honor Society from Champion High School.  

HCDBM is blessed to own multiple vehicles and it is crucial to our ministry to keep them up and running. Fleet Maintenance involves checking oil, checking tire pressure, fueling up, and general upkeep of the vehicles, This job can be done individually or with a small group. We are flexible with the day and time, please let us know in the comments when you would like to come in and we will be in touch. Work will be done outside so we recommend a hat and sunscreen. Closed-toe shoes are required in our warehouse. Snacks and water are provided.

HCDBM annual fundraiser welcomes our VIP Donors with a special Express Check-In. 

You will provide directions to the event and shuttle stations for guests in the Currey Creek parking lot.

You will provide bus rides for guests going to and from the event and parking lots. 

Assist guests with taking photos at our event photo stop.

Greet and check in guests as they arrive at the event entrance.

Greet guests as they arrive at the event entrance and direct them to registration and picking up their name badges.

Retrieve auction items for guests checking out. You will be assigned to a member of the checkout team and return items as they are picked up by guests. 

Volunteers will assist with handing out programs and name badges to guests at check in. 

Volunteers will assist with offering mocktails to guests as they enter the event and are in line to check in.

Volunteers will provide auction certificates to auction runners as guests are checking out. 

Volunteers will monitor the guns section of the auction. Ensure guests do not touch or remove the guns and answer questions regarding the auction items.

Volunteers will assist guests by taking payments and managing the wine pull game. 

Volunteers will assist guests by taking payments and managing the whiskey pull game. 

Volunteers will assist guests by taking payments and managing the James Avery jewelry pull game. 

Volunteers will assist guests by selling raffle tickets. 

Volunteers will assist food station chefs with serving food and answering guest questions. 

Volunteers will assist with serving food to guests that require accommodated seating in the tent during dinner.

Volunteers will assist with maintaining the drink station by refilling the beverage containers and supplies.

Volunteers will assist with serving food to our VIP sections at Lounge station 1 and 2. 

Volunteers will assist with passing mocktails to guests. Volunteers will be divided in sections to prep mocktail trays for servers to pass to guests around the warehouse. 

Volunteers will assist with emptying trash cans throughout the warehouse.

Volunteers will assist guests with seating, directions and bussing tables before the program. During the program you will assist with collecting paddles from guests participating in the paddle drop.

Hill Country Staff ONLY. Volunteers will collect money boxes from each table at the end of the program.

Volunteers will monitor the tent area for emergencies and provide guests with assistance.

Volunteers will monitor the tent for auction bidders and assist with collecting paddles from guests participating in the paddle drop.

Volunteers will greet guests at the main entrance on arrival and will assist guests with seating in the tent after dinner.

Volunteers will assist with collecting chairs from the tent and resetting the warehouse after the program. 

Volunteers will assist with cleaning the restrooms and restocking supplies.

HCDBM annual Fundraiser is looking for volunteers to help with Volunteer Check In.  You will help check-in volunteer and help pass out nametags.  Also we will ask that you help with the hospitality room for the evening.  

You will provide directions to the event and shuttle stations for guests in the HCDB Field parking lot.

You will provide golf cart rides for guests going to and from the event and parking lots.

Volunteers will supervise the area around auction items. Ensure guests do not remove items and assist with directing guests between the different sections or items in the auction.

We are blessed to have a beautiful building to provide service to the communityinity. We need help maintaining it with new HVAC filters. We are looking for a volunteer who can come in quarterly and change all filters.   We are looking for someone who can climb ladder and change filters throughout the ministry.  As always, we want to be good steward of our property and want to make sure we do our best to keep routine maintenance up to par.  Proper training and safely briefing will be done by HCDBM staff before volunteer can start work.

We are blessed to receive large daily donations from H.E.B. stores and we need help picking it up and delivering it to our warehouse. Volunteers can use our vehicle or their own. 

Help us look our best! We need volunteers to help mow our grounds. We provide the riding lawn mower and you provide the expertise.

When: We are flexible but would prefer you to mow between the hours of 8 - 3 M - F. 

Help us look our best! We need volunteers to help keep our grounds and lawn maintained. This includeses weed - eating, weed - pulling, leaf blowing, and other needed tasks. We provide all training and tools. We also provide cold water.
